The Concealed Truth Poem by Shobana Mohan

The Concealed Truth

Rating: 5.0

With the dawn of the day…
Thoughts I kept at bay…
Spring upon me…
Shout at me to let them free…
But I can only keep them locked…
Left so that…
One by one they keep getting stocked…
Because they can be pondered over…
In my head thinking about them over and over
Again. Revealing them would be kiss of death…
I realize out of breath…
Causing hurt to people I love…
I cannot do this coz I owe…
My life to them…
They would never be able to live…
Knowing the fact…
Neither will they ever forgive…
To be exact…
I must keep them safe with me…
Deep down in darkness as long as they can be…
Protecting the people I love…I owe…
I vow…
To keep them safe…
As safe as they can be…
