The Contradiction Rhymed Poem by Kurt Philip Behm

The Contradiction Rhymed

Playing cards at
29

I bet the man with
my last dime

He set the clock
he kept the time

The table swung
the voices climbed

All chips transparent
a pot sublime

A last wager made,
—the contradiction rhymed
