The Crazy Truth Poem by Darren Tyler Howard

The Crazy Truth

I can look at my eyes and see I'm going crazy
I can read my thoughts and see that I'm insane.
I live a life I didn't ant to handle
There's so much messed up in my brain.

Some say it's my attitude or I'm lazy,
But they don't know what's in my head
To fear the sun each morning
And living a life I dread.

I wish that I could wake up.
That I could snap back into me.
Instead I'm stuck in weakness,
And contempt for who I see.

Oh how life's filled a strange cup.
Now my mirror is my most hated foe
I just wonder when this all will end,
But that's an answer that I will never know.

The truth is, I think I'm crazy....
