The Creature Poem by Katniss Everdeen

The Creature

I look up
Into the creatures eyes
It thinks I can't see
Through it's disguise

As he looks up, he smiles
A slow, manic grin
My blood runs cold
I can't stop staring at him

With eyes like fire
And a heart just like ice
He screams in my face
That evil will suffice

\\\his honey golden stare
Locks me in my place
As I'm still staring
At this awful creatures' face

Then suddenly she's there,
She stands tall, proud and bright
She represents everything good
She represents everything right

There is too much evil
And not enough good
But still tall and proud,
The young girl, there stood

'You may have won the battle,
But this is not the end
You may have more people
But good will always win'

And suddenly, I'm not scared
I straighten up a little more
I look him straight in the eye
Because now, I know who I'm fighting for
