The Cross On The Hill Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Cross On The Hill

Mother
Mother misery!
Walk here
Walk up the Thorns
The uttering of Dawn is far and
Soft
And
Low:
The eyes rest high
But they shall settle on a Symbol
High
That is the Cross, Cross on the Hill.
In it now All condensed
Mother
Mother Misery!
All this
All this at Number 66.
The Stomach Ulcer pains - and sings!
