The Crow Poem by David Stern

The Crow

The crow never cries
The crow never lies
The crow doesn't say a word

His eye ever-watchful
In blinkless indifference
That eye never sheds a tear

The crow fears not death
He waits for his turn
The dead are all free from pain

The crow mourns the life
In funeral suit
He blocks the sun with his wing

In sacred silence
In timeless stillness
I am the eternal crow

Very powerful poem, vivid in its sinplicity. Well done!
