The Cutters Regret Poem by mark bowdidge

The Cutters Regret

i had a dream
a dream of honor and justice
standing in front of me i watched
myself fail...
some time ago i was an angry man
never understanding what was planned
i cut so deep i never felt a thing...
the wounds healed over
now i have this unforgivible
disfiguration...
sitting at his desk i hear those unforgetable words
'cutting is a disqualifer, your not qualified...'

I am really sorry that you were not allowed into the navy. I know that you really wanted to go. But there is a purpose for everything in this world, believe it or not.
