is it just now that you learned
the bliss of a kiss?
i am simply trying to teach you
and here you are learning this
awesome feeling, this place of closeness
which brings us to heaven.

slowly i loosen my grip over you
your hair too smooth and young
your skin as scented as the night of
this lovely entwining of the lips and tongue.

i am afraid that you will love me
and then ask me to promise you something that
must last forever.

i do not remember i had it once.
or if i had it, i had already given it up.
because it hurts, and it hurt that much
that i almost gave up what life is all about.

ah, i must tell you about the flowing rivers.
the passing wind, the wilting flowers.
the fading of the songs of the crickets deep
deep down the darkness of my nights.
