i took a deep
breath
facing the high risk
criminal in these
islands
known to have beheaded
the European

our eyes met
and like Obama and
Putin
this meeting
will go be viral

i keep my sense
of balance
like that scale

i will set aside fear
and rumors
and prejudices

and so now
back to the
courtroom
i gaze at everyone

as if i were the light
from that only tower
in the island

still and roaming
the
darkness and
the storm.
