She became part of my life
Hadn't been that long
'Bout a score and two years ago

From day one she grew
In to a young girl
And thats when I began to know

I knew that her knees
Wouldn't always be skinned
And neither her elbows too

Cause there came a day
When she started to feel
Bout all her emotions true

There soon come a time
When her heart would be broken
And her spirit totally crushed

These things would all pass
And therefore be found
That I would be totally hushed

I'll forever remember
That day I know
And why I'll feel blue

Will be the day I hear
My daughter's reply
