The Day When It All Ends Poem by Kyle Ofe

The Day When It All Ends

Rating: 5.0

It's time.
The day when you fall on your knees.
You pray.
To whomever you once believed in.
Hoping your savior will hear you.

Your family and friends mourn the loss of your once invisible body.
you are invisible.
They have never seen you until now, because you were invisible. You are not invisible to them, and yet you are.

You recognize lost loved ones, and you see ones you do not know.
You try to reach out and talk.
but you cant.
You feel dead inside.
Your stomach flips
You haven't eaten in days.

You look out.
You are on a plane above the snow.
No, you are alone walking in th snow.
Either way you are searching for humanity.

The sun takes up half of the sky.
On the other half, the moon.

The snow is like fog, carressing the cheek of the lake, going in for one final kiss.
Thin
symmetrical.
Perfect.
Just like raindrops coming down from the gray clouds.

You wish they were invisible.
They would understand how they have mistreated you.
But they aren't.

You are alone.
You can't go on like this.
No one loves you.
No one asked.
No one cared...

You are invisible.
You are loved now.
You are missed now.
You are with your own.
The invisibles.

Not lost by the people who turned you down.
But gained by the people who accept you for you.

Maybe you will find love then.
After the day when it all ends.
