The Day You Die Poem by Abby Belmont

The Day You Die

The day you were born,
Was the day we all started dying,
The day you began you were crying,
And now you leave behind a world of never ending dying

The dress you up in fancy clothes,
They make it seem nothing is wrong,
And they try to preach to us hope,
But we all know theres an end to every song

Your life faded away,
And now we follow behind a hurse,
It's like a sad march to your death,
We sing a song about life's curse

I watched as they said your life is now beginning,
But why is it good to leave the loved ones here,
Your life is sadly over now,
And they preach to us to never fear

One day we all will be dead,
And we can't stop it alone,
There is nothing left after death,
Our heart's beat is the ticking time bomb
