The Deal Of Love Poem by Moth Harris

The Deal Of Love

Rating: 5.0

We made a deal
That we did seal
With a kiss on the lips
and my hands on your hips

You told me once or twice that life has no story line
and if I stay with you that I'll be fine
So once or twice I tried to write down the design
But I left it all behind when our hearts intertwined

We made a promise
One I intend to keep
With our pinkies intact
and a full night sleep

You said don't waste your time with the words
I can give you the wings to fly like the birds
and there's no way to describe it spite what you've heard
and don't you think me absurd

So you let me in
I stayed there a long time
You wanted me to trust you
Now your heart is mine
