The Designer Poem by Barbara Nixon

The Designer

Rating: 5.0

Humanity an experiment, or a flawed masterplan

billions of universes filled with gaseous stars

mind boggling enormity for a mortal like I

to ponder infinity with scientific mind

like a mechanic with a jelly spanner attempting to mend cars.

***

Did the designer overestimate his powerful vision

was his utopian dream a foolhardy task

for such genius of mind and divine spiritual grace

was an untainted humanity too much of an ask?

Great and deep question here, Barb. Untainted humanity A fantastic dream. Sometimes I think that if everything was perfect, where would we find our purpose of life and meaning? Let us all work together to a caring world. Perhaps that is enough. We may never be without problems or untainted but If the number people who really manage to care, reaches a certain level, the world will be so different. Please read my poem, 'Y.... wave of peace' and perhaps also my poem, 'Y.. poetry and history'
