The Destiny Of Love Poem by Astell Collins

The Destiny Of Love

I had followed the loneliness of night
Hoping to escape the day and love’s light
Wrapped in your warmth, completeness was now known
And for the first time real love would be grown
I never knew such feelings exist
As I hoped to vanish inside your every kiss
Now that I have inherited love’s grace
Suddenly my life doesn’t seem to be such a waste
I do not know what I would do
If I am to ever live without you
I feel helpless and hopeless like a disadvantage child
Yet empowered to explore my liberty free and wild
Why should we live from uncertainty to uncertainty?
When destiny calls us to inhabit love’s security
