The Devil's Rose Poem by Ahmad M. Bassioni

The Devil's Rose

Rating: 5.0

Deep in the forest of memories
Beneath a black cold stone
A rose, planted by Hades
Stranger, to others... unknown.

Dark beauty with velvet touch
Red as Rome's fire once were
Cause no harm other than a clutch
But for vengeance, she forbear.

Astonish to those who marvels her
In the midst of the forest of tears
For she's not just a lonely burr
She's hiding, covered in fears.

In the depths of her woes
She silently dwells, the devil's rose.
