The Difference Between Poem by Rebecca Lawrence

I see my horror in his eyes
Hear my fear in his voice
Yet he boldly shouts what I fear to even think
We face the same struggles
But he as the lion and I as the sheep
For I go to slaughter quietly
While he fights for every breath
I long for that courage
I pray for that strength
Yet it escapes my attempt
I search for a way to avoid falling
And he welcomes the chance to rise again
That is the difference between
You and me
