The Disturbance You Gave Me Poem by Sandra Marie

The Disturbance You Gave Me

Every night I lie awake
Thinking that my love for you
Will get me to where you are
But I have now learn
That this love might not be true.

All my thoughts
All my tears
I have done for you
I should of known that you wouldn't care

Feeling broken
you could of least gave me a hand.
But you left me there to drown.

I walk this road which no ones knowns.
Yet you still stay in my mind.
I heard you say
Something so untrue.

But I let it slide.

Now everytime I look at the mirror
I don't see myself.
All I see a little girl crying
and holding her knees.

I look away knowing the pain.
You said you will come
But you never showed up.

As I sob only for a for awhile
I realize who the hell you really are.
I loved you but you didn't care
All you wanted was to live

Well you have your life
Now leave me here to drown.
Oh wait you did Already.

Goodnight and Goodbye
I hope to never see you again

There are few things more painful than unreciprocated love. It seems that no matter how old we grow, or how wise, it still hurts. Nice poem.
