The Divine Day Poem by Mohammad Younus

The Divine Day

The divine day—
with no mornings, no evenings,
no alternation of light and dark,
no cycle of seasons,
is as ancient as the divine.
As one draws nigh to the divine,
the shadows of evening fade;
bright stars emerge
in a vast, unending sky.
No darkness gathers
on their luminous faces.
The moon, a constant companion,
never hides behind thick, dark clouds.

In this sacred realm,
birds, beasts, and insects
sing songs of love,
while flowers bloom,
unfurling their sweet fragrances.
You will never grow weary or tired;
instead, you will dwell in calm and quiet,
wrapped in the divine's gentle embrace.
With tender blessings,
your eyes fill with light—
visions of the divine reflected
in each beautiful manifestation.
You will find one light
binding you to all that exists,
a radiant thread connecting you
to the heartbeat of the universe.
