The Doctor - Poem by Dennis Walker

There is a man out of time
He is a traveler
Putting right all the wrongs that he finds
People think that they know him
But many secrets he must hide
His race they could have lived for ever
But now he may be the last of his kind
All destroyed in the time wars
No other can he find
So he takes a human companion
To stop him being lonely on his way
He will live for ever
In many different forms they say
So if you see a blue box
And there is trouble all around
Hide and cower in fear
Until the Doctor can be found
Then with all his skills and powers
He banish the evil away
Because he is the one who always saves the day
