The Dream I Saw, I Strip... Poem by Simran Saxena

The Dream I Saw, I Strip...

Once I thought to come out of my home,
and see the world of out.
Decided to go here and there and roam,
wanted to see shops and touts.

I thought, I'll not stop for any second,
and enjoy myself as more as I can.
I'll come back home only on weekend,
wanted to stay away from the clan.

I'll go round the whole city,
and find the way to happiness.
Somewhere I'll be helpful and pity,
I'll kick all my sadness.

I thought of a place where people were good,
and always good at heart.
They would come and help me as I stood,
and would never and ever hurt.

I'll enjoy the latest trends,
and try to make a way for passion.
I'll make many new friends,
and discover a new fashion.

And I'll make a new definition, seldom,
for the magical and spiritual word
which is originally called 'FREEDOM',
probably all of us have heard.

Sitting in front of the television,
I was weaving all my dream.
Suddenly, occurred a big collision,
which was a brake for me, it seem.

By hearing a horrendous news, I thrilled,
and stopped wondering of such trip.
One was plundered, one was killed,
THE DREAM I SAW, I STRIP>
