The Dreamer Poem by Guy Richards

The Dreamer

Rating: 4.5

Rest your weary head upon your pillow
And let your mind wander
Through breezy summer meadows
Over rolling hills and yonder
Of glowing golden sunsets
And exotic indigo skies
Where insects dance in pale Moonlight
And hypnotise your eyes
In shimmering silky evenings
The moon so brightly glows
That has shone this way since time began
With secrets no one knows
So rest your head upon your bed
And dream your wistful dreams
Over times that come and go away
Eternally it seems
And as you sleep your thoughts will keep you moving through the land
Where dreamers dream and all is calm then take me by the hand
So we can fly through crimson skies
Before the morning comes
And off we go in to this world
To see what now becomes
So close your eyes drift off to sleep
floating as your thoughts pass by
And let the stresses from you seep
A journey seen by your minds eye
And in your sleep you are at peace
And in that place no one can reach
And now there is no wrong or right
No good or evil to be seen
Just blissful rest til morning light
With memories of all thats been
And as you lie in vacant trance
And thoughts and feelings round u fly
The visions round you seem to dance
Like dainty dancing butterflies
And when you wake upon the morn
Open up your eyes aware
That even though you're all alone
In every way I will be there x

Lovely romantic train of thought, well articulated and nicely penned in poetic diction with good rhyme scheme. Thanks for sharing Guy. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
