The Dreamers Poem by Alexander Thomas

The Dreamers

You are somewhere in the shades of night,
I feel you like a gentle breeze,
You are as ivy growing around me tight,
My heart once you did seize,
You to me are the nourishing light.

We found a place amongst the stars,
In the creases and folds of space,
The world and more is ours,
Deep inside a dream our hearts race,
From the truth only the mirror bars.

Our soul song so sweet,
Resonant with the rapture of heart,
Radiating an intense white heat,
Dazzling from brilliance of a cosmic art,
Time reverberates with our heartbeat.

In the speckled beauty of the night,
From the mirrors of time eternal,
Penetrated by divine reflected light,
We fixed our bond fraternal,
Enduring forever to shine bright.

We walk upon the soft threads of our dreams,
Made of fibres plucked from stars above,
Spun by wheels of time into luminescent reams,
Woven by craft of angels lavishing love,
We sleep beneath a shower of moonbeams.
