The Drear Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Drear

The drear
the cemetery
the shrouds that roam

the drear
the cemetery
the ghosts that moan

the drear
the cemetery
processions at night

the drear
hood shrouds
Gregorian chants by starlight

and in dark nights
and in dark nights
chants of howls, desperate howls
