The E Romance Age Poem by Gordon Jones

The E Romance Age

She looked pretty cute as she walked down the street
I'll get her on Facebook, send her a Tweet,
I tracked her name down and invited her home
Making best use of my Blackberry phone

I wooed her with passion, she sent me a Text
Goes without saying just what happened next
We moved in together, and did all love's things
We knew it would last. Not just one of those flings.

It lasted a month. That's thirty whole days
Decided it weren't meant to be
Because after that time, I didn't like her,
And she certainly didn't like me.

Using landline now, the only way I can moan
Because when my baby left me
She pinched my Blackberry phone

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The speed of modern romance leaves an old man breathless.
