The Eagle - Poem by Des Gahan

The Eagle on his Crag
Force Mighty
Solitary Splendour
The Hunt
The Rush
Blood Drawn Talon
Back Broken Bone
An Innocent Eye
A magnificent Cruelty

Simply a magnificent poem! I witnessed this act of magnificent cruelty myself many years ago in the Colorado Rockies. The eagle was soaring, soaring, round and round....then....he tucked his wings in and dived...for miles he dived and I was amazed and smitten by the 'mighty force' of that fabulous bird! Beautiful subject matter. Barb (Report) Reply
