The Empty Hourglass Poem by Kurt Philip Behm

The Empty Hourglass

Embalming
your memory
the funeral
dragged on
Interring
the remnants
that pain
had prolonged

The pallbearers
stationed
each side
of the grave
A grieving
reminder
that time
— had enslaved
