The empty pride company.
You can find them in the streets,
In the restaurants taking orders,
A less familiar among the many.

I am one of them.
If you have cared to notice.
What have we done...
We have survived.

And writers and poets
And failed adventurers...
Look out the window and
You won't be able to grasp it.
Yet it is there.

The cooks and bodybuilders have
Come up a lot.
They have grabbed it.
A recipe and a hamstring muscle.
Then there are those vulgar
Who have grabbed a breast or a hip.
And found pleasure in it.

We are here to admire and get admired
In return.
Said the captain of the
Empty pride company.
