The End (Or Something Else) Poem by Stephen Carey

The End (Or Something Else)

It's something so cold,
That look on her face.
You're just in between,
Do you know what I mean?
For once, I was bold,
For the sake of your grace,
And that's all I've seen.

It's something so dark,
This absence of you,
The withdrawal of your shine.
I will never be fine,
I'm left with its mark,
And of course it is true,
You are never mine.

Everything's not right.
I can't do a thing.
I should just go to the moon,
Float off like a blue balloon.
I'll get out of your sight,
I'll forget everything.
I will be gone, soon.
