The Word In The Flames Poem by Stephen Carey

The Word In The Flames

You stand alone, carrying everything you've never known.
You stand alone, awaiting everything that comes hereafter.
You stand alone, swaying not in heat or strife.
You stand alone, telling of nothing that lies within you.
You stand alone, letting no one else come after you.
You stand alone, entering the empty skies.
