The End. [part One] Poem by Alistair Plint

The End. [part One]

Discussing Anguish

So ostensibly
the good book
delivered the law
of the process

It vowed that
to fulfil the covenant
He (the man)
would leave his
Father and Mother
and meet her
(the woman)
They would become
one (singular)
flesh.

This is why
grief
does not only
apply to death
or why we
might feel

like a limb
is AWOL

Walking in circles
in the pitch black
hole

But misery is
temporary
just easier
to deal with
when there
is a marble stone
or granite cross.
