The End Scene Poem by WKE Kamel

The End Scene

I would love to see you cry
I would love to see you die
I will be the first to walk in your funeral
And the last one to leave
Do you know why?
Because I am the one who is lost in the crowd
I am the one who waits for you there
I whisper shouting for you to hear
But just the echo replies
You have no place here
You have played your role
It is time to run
A star is falling down
A life is gone

I have been through much
Between all just your hand I wanted to touch
To reach me
Put me on the road
Where was it
Why didn’t it hear my tear
Why didn’t it see my scream
Didn’t it tear your heart
Or make you fall apart
Like your smile had done to me once
Where the land was green and the sky was blue
Where I’m going now
