The Ending Poem by Ferdinand L Quintos

The Ending

When I turned to look at you again,
You were like a watercolor painting
Someone has left under the heavy rain,
Your colors bled and started dripping.

I fled the shed to go and embrace you
But the wind blew and hid you from my view,
I scooped up the mud the colors stained
But through my fingers by rain they were drained.

From the distance a thunder deeply boomed
The rain abated and came to and end,
I knew then that my love for you was doomed,
All that's left is think of you as a friend.
