The Essence - Poem by Amani Bakari

The essence of a person’s being is a person’s thought
The essence of a person’s existence is a person’s heart
Today I think of you; now I give you my heart
So no barrier or force can keep us apart

Some people may think that I am x-rated
To me, love is pure and sex is sacred
How beautiful it is to see our bodies naked
In a rhythmic flow engulfing spaces
