The Exit Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

The Exit

Many questions have been asked
Some laced with philosophical jargon
Other questions revealing the nudity of the mind
It's the questions about the exit at the end of life
Death is such a menacing word
I prefer "the exit" as it opens a door beyond life
Death sounds like the final nail in the coffin of life
Death is shrouded in mystery
But death as is not as painful as the inability to pass through the exit
Life prepares the body, mind and spirit for death
Death prepares the spirit for the exit (exit spiritual earth)

The exit is not a sophisticated engineering marvel
The exist is not built with great architectural detail
The exit is a portal of immense spiritual significance
The exit stands at the door between spiritual earth and eternity
The exit is a path illuminated by the sacred light
The exit is a gate beyond physical death
The exit is the gateway to the everlasting life

The exit is a true exit beyond both the physical and spiritual earth
It is a place of truth where lies, untruths and deception cannot go
It is a boundary made of the toughest material in eternity
It's a boundary made of nothingness
Only those who hold Love in their hearts are allowed to proceed
To enter this sacred gate of life and death
One has to be cleansed by Love
Love is the ultimate gatekeeper
And with Love the abundance of existence is palpated beyond this exit
Put on the garment of Love and neither death nor the exit will stop you from the ultimate existence
