Sleep won't come.
The stars illuminate
Beaming on me,
Waking me
As if they were in mourning.
Daybreak falters
Through tired lashes
Streaming its beams
Of color
It misbehaves
Rudely keeping me
From dark slumber
I have long
Anticipated.
Kerosene Sun!
Stop burning,
And let my mind cool
With your warm offerings
Of a cloud filled day
I shut the blinds
And listen
To my heartbeat
And your breathing
When finally
The cloud bursts with
It's forgiveness
And the rain
Carries me
Fast asleep.

The cloud bursts with it's forgiveness and the rain carries you fast asleep. This forgiveness falls as grace as rain drops. An amazing poem is very brilliantly penned...10
