The Fall Poem by Rightly Considered

The Fall

I watched you today
As you twirled, graceful
through your path
floating on the wind
of the airy soul
So lightly did you move
to each calling draft of the day

I watched you today, my love
In a falling leaf, matured
with the richest browns
And peach, and crimson curved lips,
As you twirled graceful to the earth
So gentle and long and flowing
All your movements as a dance

I will watch you one day, my love
As your twirling comes to an end
And you rest against the soil.
But not long, and the resurrecting wind
will blow, and you, and I and all the free
Shall rise to fly again, on His wind.
