Earth was a rapturous place to be,
Days and nights were filled with blissful moments,
Education ran smoothly,
Socialization was an aspect of education
Classes were filled with zestful and exuberant students,
Just before the pandemic.
The boisterous streets became empty,
The roads became tranquil,
Education was kept on hold,
Work was left unfinished,
Social distance was key.
Lives were snatched away,
Millions of lives were threatened,
The coronavirus did not pardon anyone,
Not age, gender, or religion.
All were infected.
Covering half of our faces,
Earth had become a nightmare,
Mothers and fathers lost their jobs,
Poverty came knocking in,
The uninvited guest became one of us,
And brought the fall of the world.
