The Favor Poem by Wanda Henderson

The Favor

Dear Lord I have one thing to ask
It's not hard but a simple task
Just one thing I want you to do
I don't have to say it you know of course
I'll say it any way what I want is a horse.
Could you please send it quickly I've waited so long.
I would like a black beauty so brave and strong.
Or as long as it wasn't dead and it had some hair,
I would even take an old, ugly mare
If you give this I thank you I do.
For giving me the dream I've been dreaming since two.
