The Fear Associated With This Hamattan Poem by DOMINIC PREMPEH

The Fear Associated With This Hamattan

The skies are clear
For there are no clouds
The wind is dry
Better for drying our cocoa
But there are fears in our minds
And more anxiety in our eyes
For a little spark of fire
Will devour all we have; life and property
Because there is no water to extinguish the fire
In this dry hamattan
