The Feeling - Poem by Turuz Hautapu
Ever felt that feeling that you've got no one to turn to?
That there's no light at the end of the tunnel?
The walls are closing in and the sand is inching higher?
That there's no ear to listen or shoulder to cry on?
What do you do when this feeling strikes?
Hope it passes faster than the last one?
Have faith that there really is someone out there?
Wish that ou had a partner, then it wouldn't be so bad?
Ache to get plastered off your face or even better...
Take any and every drug available so all the pain will stop?
Or just sit in your room and cry, but quietly, so no one can hear
Hear the pain you're feeling because of words and actions
Words and actions of other people that seem not to care
Not to care about how you feel of how you hurt
hurt when they say 'I'll talk to you later'
But later never comes... because you've lost the nerve
...And you feel the feeling all over again.
