The Fight For The Family Poem by Truth Osumareton Egbe

The Fight For The Family

Synced Rhythm
One Dance
One Voice
One Body
Fa-mi-ly
Can't you see how beautiful it is for brethren to dwell together in unity?
Can't you feel the harmony of two souls becoming one?
Can't you hear the melody of peace and love increasing and multiplying over the whole world?

The enemy is furious knowing too well that if two shall agree concerning a thing it would be done
So he plots, and plans, devises and deceives
Separating what God has joined together as we give him permission
Two Dances
Two Voices
Two Bodies
Dis-unity

We quarrel, we fight thinking the battle is between husband and wife; wife and husband
Our friend becomes our enemy as the enemy becomes our friend
A house divided against itself cannot stand; we fight with our own team and we fall
We fall with the mandate God gave us
We fall and our purpose is left unfinished
We fall and our children who were meant to be examples to the world are left with the world as their example
Subtly but surely, the enemy whispers his own ideas into their minds; things unheard of
The family - God's perfect creation has been perverted because we left our duty posts
Oh, how we have fallen

And for a minute it felt like it was the end of us
It felt like the devil would have the last laugh
But thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph in Christ
Behold! There is a rattling
Bones are connected with bones
Flesh covers them
There is an arising
A great army
The fight for the family begins
A fight not against flesh and blood
