The Fight Within Poem by Abraham John Jaggernauth

The Fight Within

There's only so much one can take before they break.
Sometimes a crack, sometimes, just the whole thing's collapsed.
This thing that's within; why does it make me feel like this.
This struggle to claim what is mine, while all along in vain.
My pain is never ending, my heart, ashamed.

While not letting go, but trying to get going.
Time feels backwards and ever slowing.
Though I know the pace has started, and begun to increase;
All I wish for is never-ending peace.

Decease is how I feel, yet living; always searching for life's fulfilling.
This is the beginning, and it never ends;
The same story, the same end.
My search begins and ends with nothing less than the fight within.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This sickness inside of me that I hate and detest, and wish to be removed. My Selfishness.
