The Firefly, My Pain Poem by Samir Nuhu

The Firefly, My Pain

Rating: 1.5

I can't help but scream 'oh my'!
More like a remorse than a cry
Why would such a life had to die?
Doubt if someone would pacify
Look me straight in the sorry eye

Can you ease my pain? Just try
In the process of making some pie
I killed it right in the burning fry
Presumably it only came to pry
Premortem it looked at me and gave a sigh

But it's more than just a fly
Quickly rang the phone to call my guy
He might think it's just a lie
Perhaps even think am high
You could see my face wrapped up in wry

Posing with my Louis Vuitton tie
Am not a dude trying to vie
I have just killed a firefly
Insecta it is when you classify
Shining it's light just to beautify
