The Floods Poem by Julius Lenaiyarra

The Floods

Rating: 5.0

It was the rain, then a storm
Rising waves, then tides
Insinuating the early storm
But this time the ark missing
From all corners it swept
Washing away, then sweeping
In awe so much created
We watched the floods we created.

Our universality in the floods
Modernity has flooded
And so the tides culminate
We found ourselves again
Rejuvenated and admiring
As advancement encompassing
We immitated ourselves after all
Then forward we saw
The double-edged floods
Sweeping over and again.
