The Flow Of Life - Poem by Imaanah Saleem

Days flow freely like the breath we breathe
And The Lord's around every second providing all we need
But if we sit around waiting for our lives to start
Every moment in the light is dark
Life begins and ends in mystery
From mother to earth
As long as we're in good condition
We should walk straight through the dirt
Not lie still while The Real pores chances in our motors
Because life's meant for the living
And all others get run over with their time riding by
Breathing chances is why
People lose in life
Watching opportunity fly is not the way
Better off pushing ourselves through everyday
Desire comes naturally
And pity isn't actually beneficial for the growth of mankind
As time goes we should go
Not let ourselves fall so low
That we take a seat on the ground and pray the wind blows
Our hearts are pumping for a reason
But why we'll never know
If we're breathing through each day
Wasting away while our lives flow …
