Poems are Flowers
in the
Garden of Literature
To make a plot, a garden,
You need a Flower Patch.
A garden without flowers,
Is like a gate with a broken latch.
As a cottage in the country,
Is completed by its thatch.
Essential to a garden,
Is a well stocked flower patch.
There is no place on Earth,
That can ever hope to match.
The radiant shining glory,
Of a colour filled Flower Patch.
We need the flowers of poetry,
To brighten up each day,
Reaching out, to touch our hearts,
Lightening our way..
Sometimes they’ll carry laughter,
At other times bring tears,
and when we’re down and lonely,
They’ll give a word that cheers.
