The Flower Shivers Poem by Maddy Jones

The Flower Shivers

The flower withers,
Dying today,
The flower shivers,
Wasting away,

A useless soul,
An early death,
Becoming cold,
Fade in stealth,

The flower dries,
The petals fall,
The petals lie,
The living stall,

Death of a cough,
Why thrive on?
You cannot slough,
You cannot run.
