The Flu Poem by Bonnie L. Fry

The Flu

Rating: 5.0

I have the flu, I feel so blue.
The rest of the family hasn't a clue.
No one seems to know what to do.
My nose is runny, my eyes are too.
The meds I take don't seem to work,
so much for the doctor, what a jerk.

Drink lots of fluid, stay in bed.
Soon this pain may leave my head.
Better soon I hope to be, before I
smother myself with the bedspread.
I couldn't feel worse if I were dead.

Feeling better, oh what a joy.
Now my life I can enjoy.

If you are a mommy and grandmommy, then you KNOW you can't take time off, sick or otherwise. Where are my clean clothes, what's for supper, can you drive me to football practice, etc........
