THE FRAUD OF INDEPENDENCE

They told us that we are free
Free from aliens reigns
But our minds are chained
To the alien policies.

They told us that we are free to rule
But in their terms and ways
They told us to choose our rulers
But they rejected our choice.

They told us that we are free to speak our minds
But only in their dialect and tongues
They told us that we are free to live
But only the life they offer
That we can buy and sell
Only at their rate of pounds and dollars

Indeed Africa is free! ! !
